Along came Saturday and I found I had some time, so off I set to make the card.
I knew I had to make a handmade flower, and rather go for the normal type that I generally make, I thought I'd have a go at something slightly different. So I got out this Sissix die which is of hearts.I cut out 3 sets of hearts in 2 lots of pearlised card. You can see here how the hearts look when they come out straight after cutting.I then popped out the middles. Because the hearts are quite big, I put the hearts to one side to use another time and layered the middle parts to make the flower.I used a lovely Anya stamp and coloured her with promarkers (of course). and finally I assembled the finished card.
Ta da!! All done.
Ta da!! All done.
So why is the title of this post called 'read the instructions' I hear you ask.
After the card was finished I went back to the blog and found that not only did I have to make my own flowers but there was a SKETCH!!!!!
So after all that, I can't enter the challenge after all. So the moral of the story is - READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!

Oh Ally what a shame as it turned out beautifully - I have a bit of a tendancy to dive right in too without reading the instructions. I have managed to blog twice this week too so that's both of us in the good books this week x
ReplyDeleteOops! But it is a lovely card in its own right!
ReplyDeleteOops. I'm guilty of similar! It's still a great card.
ReplyDeleteOh that happened to me on a UKS challange. Mind you I don't like reading instructions of any kind....maybe that's why I get lost alot!
ReplyDeleteSorry.....forgot to say, lovely card and I like your Anya stamp.
ReplyDeleteOh no! Never mind, it's a fantastic card anyway. I love the flower.
