Something different

Oh how I think Wendy Vecchi makes the most beautiful art. At Stamperama on Sunday I looked at a lot of her stamps, my gosh they're expensive. Simon says stamp and show's theme was something in the style of Wendy Vecchi. So without stamps I had to go for style.
So i cut a piece of card with a nestie and coloured it using antigue linen, rusty hinge and vintage photo distress inks. I then overstamped this with a flower background stamp.
I cut out a smaller nestie, inked it in the same colours and added an adage ticket.
The flower was stamped and then inked and I used one of those hat pin things (what are they called?) for the flower middle.

I like it and I hope you do too.

I got the music in me

Over on Sunday Stampers this week the theme is "music". I decided to use a postcard for this one. The back is covered with a piece of sheet music and then inked with antique linen distress ink and vintage photo on the edges.
The flowers were cut from a template on my bighot and coloured with weathered wood and bundled sage. They were given a little sparkle with rocky candy tickles and secured with a brad. The frame at the bottom was also cut with my bigshot but I really don't seem to have that many sentiments or sayings stamps so this was the only one that I could find that vaguely fitted.
There's a piece of rafia at the bottom just to finish it off.
Hope you like it
